Peer Review Process

Manuscript Evaluation and Selection Process

Every submitted manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the editorial team. Papers that do not align with the journal's specific criteria are rejected immediately without being sent out for external evaluation. Conversely, submissions that show potential interest for the journal's readers are forwarded to two independent peer reviewers.

Following the review phase, editors weigh the feedback and recommendations to issue one of four decisions:

  • Rejection
  • Major Revision
  • Minor Revision
  • Acceptance

Ultimately, the Editor-in-Chief of  Cendekia : Tebuireng Journal of Educational Practice and Leadership holds the final authority on all publication decisions.

Workflow

  1. Submission: The author submits their manuscript to the journal.
  2. Initial Screening: Editors evaluate the submission (disqualifying or returning unsuitable papers at this stage).
  3. Peer Review: Eligible papers undergo formal external evaluation by reviewers.
  4. Editorial Verdict: Editors determine the status of the paper based on reviewer feedback.
  5. Notification: The final decision is communicated directly to the authors.
